London Ride Freestyle Competition
Watch freestyle professionals battle it out on Mount Battersea to win London Ride.
Ride Freesport began in 1999 as a company set up by Warren Smith to run the Veriber Ride freeski event. Since then Ride Freesport has produced X-Games Qualifier Skier Cross events, IFSA World Tour and European Tour Big Mountain Freeskiing competitions and many Freestyle events across Europe for Slope Style, Big Air and Half Pipe.
The first London Ride Big Air competition was back in 2003 at the Ski Show in Olymipia. It provided a vital stepping-stone onto the international scene for aspiring UK Freeskiers. It gave them the chance to compete with big named Pro’s such as Sweden’s Jon Olsen and France’s Laurent Favre. The UK riders got the chance to show off to the crowds and make names for themselves, impressing their sponsors. UK Olympians such as James Woods, Murray Buchan and James Machon have all competed in the London Ride in the past.
This year, the London Ride is back with some familiar names but also a whole bunch of up and coming young Freeski stars all wanting to push the boundaries of the sport and make a name for them selves. Join us on Sunday, October 29 at Mount Battersea from 12:30 to watch in awe as the riders compete!
