The Telegraph Ski & Snowboard Festival 2019

Taking place over half term from October 24-27, 2019 The Telegraph Ski & Snowboard Festival welcomed over 16,000 snow-sports enthusiasts to London’s Battersea Evolution.

The four day event saw the unveiling of The North Face’s FUTURELIGHT, pro-rider competitions on Turkish Airlines Mount Battersea the Festival’s own 50ft kicker, the final of Plank Clothing’s UK Grassroots tour, the UK premier of Warren Miller Entertainment’s new ski film and over 250 exhibiting brands. Turkish Airlines debuted at the Festival and were welcomed as headline partner when they swiftly pitted skiers and snowboarders against each other in an electric competition.

One of the world’s greatest explorers, Sir Ranulph Fiennes OBE joined the line-up in The Inghams Lodge, which also saw the revolutionary Ski Technique Lab by Warren Smith. The snow on Mountain Battersea hosted avalanche training with The Ski Club of Great Britain and demonstrations from a selection winter sports athletes, including leading pro skiers and snowboarders from GB’s Park + Pipe team.

Crystal Ski Holidays brought back ice skating with the addition of curling to their ever-popular icy line up, The Snow Centre held the hands of little ones on their first snow taster experience and Esprit Ski ensured the kids were entertained with games and arts and crafts in the kids zone. While dog sledding and roller skiing took place in the park, axe’s were flung in a hot new feature plus Graystone Action Sport Academy hosted skateboarding and parkour session on the pop-up skate ramp – another new feature for 2019.

With further investment planned for 2020, The Festival team will be introducing even more exciting, experiential features. There will be more opportunities than ever before for you to have a go and get the most out of your love of all things winter!
