Sierra Nevada Ski Resort
With more than 110 kilometers of trails contained in 131 marked slopes (21 lifts), our resort base level is at 2,100 m. high and the top station at 3,300 m. high (Veleta peak 3,398 m.), guarantees an exceptionally great snow quality in optimum conditions that go hand in hand with 350 snow cannons. Indeed, the Sierra Nevada Ski Area has snow cover from the end of November through to late April (30th April this season). We want to highlight that Sierra Nevada's Snow Park offers one of the longest slope style lines in Europe and has been proud to host the FIS FREESTYLE SKI AND SNOWBOARD WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS in 2016-2017 Winter season (March 2017). Furthermore, we stand out for having the sunniest ski resort in Europe (over 75%-80% of sunny days), the greatest skiable vertical drop in Spain (1,200 meters), and also for the amplitude of our trails (more than 382 hectares conditioned by machines) for all levels.
